The State Band Competition was held on April 30 and May 1, 2010. The CVHS band performed Military Escort by Fillmore, Yorkshire Ballad by Barnes, and a three-movement work entitled Legends and Heroes by La Plante. Both the CVHS and CHS bands received an overall excellent rating. No other 3A school received a rating that high; therefore, Canyon View and Cedar High School Bands became co-champions of the State Band Competition. Congratulations to Mr. Jordan and our outstanding band members!
