9th Grade Students

Direct Writing Assessment:  February

10th Grade Students

UBSCT (Utah Basic Skills Competency Test) will be given to sophomore students the first week of February.

PLAN Test  - Optional
The PLAN test will be offered this year to sophomore students. It is the PRE-ACT, and will help students prepare for the ACT.  The cost is $10.  Dates TBA.

PSAT (Pre-Scholastic Aptitude Test) - Optional     
The PSAT is a preliminary scholastic aptitude test and the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship program. Taking the test provides another practice opportunity to help students raise ACT scores. The cost is $10. October 14, 2009, 8:00 a.m. in the CVHS library.

IOWA
The IOWA test results access how students are achieving in the basics.  All 11th grade students will be tested in their English and US History classes.

It is important that students do their best on this national standardized exam.  All junior students in the State of Utah are required to be tested. 

ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) - Optional
Purpose:  The exam helps students identify strengths not always measured on other school-standardized exams.  It can help relate student strengths to many careers including those in the military.

11th and 12th Grade Students

ACT (American College Test)
Purpose:  College admission and scholarship

AP Exam Schedule

AP exams are taken at the conclusion of Advanced Placement courses.  Students will receive examination registration details from the AP teachers.
