SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry representatives, all working together to ensure America has a skilled work force. It helps each student excel. It is a national nonprofit organization serving teachers and high school and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations, including health occupations. The organization's motto is "Preparing for leadership in the world of work."

The Technology Student Association (TSA) enhances personal development, leadership, and career opportunities in STEM, whereby members apply and integrate these concepts through intracurricular activities, competitive events and related programs.

Our Skills USA students represented CVHS and Iron County Schools very well at the 2018 State Competition. We had three medalist from CVHS:
  • David Rau took a silver in Principles of Engineering Technology
  • Auberny Holdeman took a silver is Medical Math
  • Cayden Eastman took home a gold in Technical Drafting as well as received an invitation to attend the National Leadership and Skills Competition (NLSC) in Louisville Kentucky this June.
