Celebrating 10 Years


Air Force, Army, Navy and Merchant Marine Academies Interviews will be held on November 18, 2006. Each candidate for a nomination must meet the following basic eligibility requirements as of July 1, 2007.

Age: Be at least 17 years old, but not have passed your 23rd birthday
Citizenship: Be a US citizen
Marital Status: Be unmarried, not pregnant, and have no legal obligation for support of a child or other dependents.
Residency: you must reside within the Second Congressional District

You must contact the Military Service Academies to which you seek a nomination. The website is http://www.house.gov/matheson.

1. An online application form found on the above website.
2. Personal resume
2. High school transcript, including SAT and/ or ACT scores.
3. Two letters of recommendation.

Students must submit all of the required documents to Congressman Jim Matheson's District Office by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2006. Candidates whose files are incomplete on the deadline date will not be given consideration.
