Online libraries are valuable resources for student research. The following are explanations of the to rich sources of information for student research projects. Click the picture links on the left to visit these resources.

Novelinks is maintained by the Education section of the English Department at Brigham Young University. It includes online as well as printed references to biographical, historical and critical insights on authors and their works.

Cedar City Library provides an online catalog search for resources available through the Cedar City Library in the Park.

Alexandria is an electronic card catalog for books in the CVHS library collection.

Pioneer is Utah’s Online Library of electronic resources. It provides access to newspaper articles, magazines, professional journals, encyclopedias, video, photographs, maps, charts, and graphics. It is a fast and easy way to find credible and up-to-date information for school, work, and personal use. A username and password are required if you log onto this site from home. Ask Mrs. Truman in the Media Center for the username and password.

Citation Machine is an interactive web tool designed to assist high school, college, and university students, their teachers, and independent researchers to credit information sources. The user selects either MLA or APA style citations, enters the resource information, and the Citation Machine will produce a result which represents the proper way to cite your resource in a research paper.

American Memory provides free access to digital written and spoken words, sound recordings, still and moving images, prints, maps, and sheet music that document American history and creativity. These materials were digitized from the collections of the Library of Congress and other institutions.

The Internet Public Library's mission is to provide library services to Internet users. Activities include: finding, evaluating, selecting, organizing, describing, and creating information resources; and direct assistance to individuals.

Digital Book Index is a large library of electronic books. Search for books by author, title, publisher, or subject. This site requires login information.
